Landscape designer, Liz Ryan of Wildflower Landscape Design, had talked about her website for some time. In reviewing her needs, I realized she needed a way to show her work in a flow she was already adept at updating.
Enter Houzz. This service provides a way for homeowners to find a professional service online. With built-in project management, look books, reviews, Houzz is already setup to highlight the work for professionals.
Now with the Houzz Site Designer, home service professionals can extend their Houzz profiles into a website with a dashboard that is easy to create and maintain a website. It is powered and hosted by Houzz, and gives these professionals a way to highlight their best works, and projects, and a professional face to their online business.
The particular template we selected to relaunch Wildflower Landscape Design’s Growth Platform gives a solid design that is very adaptable to mobile devices, giving it a professional feel that is easily navigated.
After selecting the template base, the Site Designer launches directly with 4 prebuilt pages – Home, Projects, About, and Contact. All of the pages populate directly from the Houzz Pro profile for the business.
One struggle we were missing on was the contact page. It took a while to realize that the contact page was pulling the content from the contact information from the main Houzz profile page. There, a setting allows the profile/business owner to change the contact information, and also track contact analytics. With the phone number to be tracked, Houzz provides a separate phone number that forwards to your business phone. It was this particular setting that threw off us as we were finishing the site launch.
We are excited to explore this as a Growth Driven launch platform for Landscape Design, Architects, Interior Decorators, and more! I am happy to have found a solution that was so easy for Liz.
I love making life easy for people!
